Læseheste og Hundehoveder was a literature project running from April 2007 to April 2008. We were commisioned to first design them a logo.

The name was already settled upon. It doesn't translate well, but literally means "Reading-horses and Dog's heads" but the meaning is "Bookworms and scoundrels" - a title that made us prepare for a children's literature project, which this was not. The name refers to a title by a local writer, but the name was unfortunate.

We saw no other way than to tear the name apart in order to save it so I made four different logos that emulated text cut from a novel, we used the "Læseheste og Hundehoveder" but added spaces, hyphens, commas and so on to change their meaning and transform it to grown-up literature. Luckily the client went along with this transformation, but with the compromise being that the "proper" name appeared underneath.

We later helped out in designing the project website and did various flyers and posters for the project.
